Check Your Washing Machine Hoses Lately?

5/19/2017 (Permalink)

“Each washing machine comes with three hoses to add total functionality to the appliance: hot water, cold water and a drain. This means there are three opportunities for your otherwise reliable appliance to suddenly break apart and leak water. If you find water in the laundry room, it’s worth checking to see if any of your washing machine hoses are leaking.

First and foremost, pull out the washing machine. You need to check all three hoses to see if there is a leak in any of them, but don’t disconnect any tubes. Instead, start a short wash and watch each of the hoses as it goes through the wash and rinse cycles. When starting the drain cycle, keep an eye on the drain hose.”
