When Tornado Season Approaches

When tornado season approaches, we want you to know some information on tornadoes so YOU can be more prepared. 

Tornadoes destroy anything in their path. They can destroy buildings, flip cars and create mass destruction!

• They can happen anytime and anywhere
• Bring winds in excess of 200 mph
• They can look like funnels

If you are under a TORNADO WARNING, find shelter RIGHT AWAY!

Your friends at SERVPRO of Fairfield County want you to stay safe. So follow some of these tips:

• If you are near a sturdy building, get inside immediately
• Go to a safe room or basement
• Stay away from windows
• Watch for flying debris
• Cover your head with your arms

Continue to listen to your local weather station to get updated information. DO NOT leave your shelter until you no longer hear the sirens and your weather station has given you the ok.
